On Monday, May 24, 2010, experts in the development of this and other trust frameworks will serve as faculty for NHIN University's NHIN 104 - The Trust Fabric of the NHIN: Making Exchange a Good Choice. In this free 1.5 hour online class, students will have an opportunity to talk with these experts about how issues of trust between health information exchange participants are being addressed in the context of the Nationwide Health Information Network. By participating in this class, students will become familiar with:
- Key components of trust and why they are important
- How the NHIN Exchange trust fabric maps to the key trust components
- Efforts to harmonize the NHIN Exchange trust components with the rest of the NHIN ecosystem, including state-level HIEs and the NHIN Direct program
